I don't know if he's being all that pedantic about it. I took it as one of those times when "IMHO" was obviously implied. Her planet is strange to him-he's being honest. It's just that sometimes they come up against things that are so fundamental to their belief systems that they can't talk about them in any way but "but that's wrong."
Kory's just as casually superior about her culture in her way, after all. It's not always a bad idea to hide your emotions or not act on them and it doesn't always cause problems, for instance. She's telling him what he wants in the scene too. But both of them are products of environments that took a lot of time drilling in particular ideas about emotions.
That said, Dick gets the better deal since he's the earthling. I don't think anybody writing the comic can really get anybody's pov but his. Sure there are plenty of people on earth who are polyamorous, but presumably that's not exactly what Kory's supposed to be, so they're not going to have them go in that direction. I think Dick did change a lot under Kory's influence, it was just more subtle. This story ends with him moving in with her, so he's making a change.
