	Ok, my first instinct is oh god oh no terrible terrible terrible. BUT I think there's a golden lining here. If a future author wanted to use this and HUSH for example to prove that the resurrected Jason Todd was, this whole time, actually a mind-damaged, very-precise Clayface...well, I think it would work. We can tell that Jason Todd has been dead for a while since he still sends telegrams.

The best analysis of these issues I've read starts with the fact that Dick Grayson was originally slated to die in Infinite Crisis, and Jason Todd was supposed to take over the Nightwing role for a while. But the editorial staff changed Dan DiDio's mind on sending Dick to the dirthouse.

All the actions that make no sense for Dick—waking up in bed with a woman who's name he's forgotten, working as a model because he can't find anything else to do, modeling in a Nightwing costume—make more sense if we decide those actions were planned for Jason.

In this case, the giant, tentacled, man-eating slug would have been someone else, not Jason. But it still makes no sense, no matter which way we look at it.

	Dick's arrival in New York also saw them bring Bridget Clancy back briefly before shipping her back into comic book limbo. This included Dick interacting with her a couple of times as Nightwing without Clancy apparently recognising they were the same person, which stretched the ole suspension of disbelief a bit for me. There never were tentacles, never was a Jason who could use the word "gauche", never was Dick modelling Nightwing costumes, never was a fight between the two mentioned above in full view of the cameras, never was Cheyenne Freemont, and most definitely never was a Dick who could think that it was too bad Jason hadn't died in the exploding building before Infinite Crisis.
