I agree. It's like a bad cliche joke about boys thinking emotions are yucky and they want more action and blood and gore and violence in whatever they're doing. But Batman CAN'T be solely about that, or else you'd have a REALLY boring fucking book. Batman and his cast are all human, no super powers or anything. So you'd have to incorporate psychological aspects in there (you don't have to go extremely in depth with every issue or story arc) in order to make any story you tell or the characters your writing have any depth.
