I know of some hairsprays that I suspect really would keep your hair like that years after death.

Aqua Net: Your own personal hole in the Ozone layer. I was only a toddler in the 80s, but I remember my aunts being a huge fan of the stuff. You could bounce things off their hair without them noticing.
