Thorm!
Because as a starting point for hooking up 2 characters go, "storm deities living in New York" makes a heck of a lot more sense than "two black Africans who have met maybe twice".

I always liked that aspect about how Storm's features were the distilation of the best of the various human racial groups, something that pretty much seems to have been tossed by the wayside.

I have no idea what's up with the medical gear failure though.

Storm's always been something of an eclectic dresser - the look in that third panel is particularly reminiscent of late 80s post-human/cyberpunk visuals.

Then there was the whole extreme punk mowhawk style. Did she and gladiator ever meet up and compare hair care notes?

The briefest of allusions to Storms suspected bisexuality perhaps -- certainly Callisto definitely has a thing for dommes on top of her preference for subby guys when you consider her history. Or just three ladies in a tentacle-filled hottub? YOU decide!

We need 'Mexican' Tony, Cap and Spidey to make an appearance in the actual comics. And Doom. Verily.

Oh, and that medical equipment failure is due to the X-Men having been invisible to mechanical apparatus during that time, thanks to their resurrection by Roma.

"Briefest of allusions"? That tentacle curling lovingly around her neck isn't precisely subtle.

The Storm/Thor stuff is all ridiculously cute, though. Except for that Doom one, which is cute and ridiculously hilarious.

Well the tentacle thing does speak volumes as I mentioned about Callisto: the very first time I read the lead up to the Cross Time Caper it seemed unbelievably obvious that she was considerably more to Nazi.Moira than just a body guard, and then in !Excalibur she was really sparking off the sentinel prime chick, and , well, just look at the way she's with Storm.

Still, it's not like Storm is trying to move it, they're not wearing clothes, and she does have that huge-ass smile on her face...

"they're not wearing clothes"

Actually, Callisto appears to be the only one who's completely nude. Storm and the Asian girl (who I'm presuming is NOT Jubilee) have string bikini tops on. Look closely at their shoulders.

But, in favor of your argument...a string bikini is pretty "easy access."

Asian Girl is Wolverine's old friend Yukio, I believe.

Look at the garments in question -- they have no texture or colour. they're exactly the thing you draw in to censor art someone up the chain has decided is too risque. Find the original pencils -- hell, find the original inks -- and I'll bet you that there's no sign what so ever of those bikinis.

Not to mention that as a practicing nudist, I just don't find it conceivable that Storm would still be wearing anything when at least one other person in the group isn't either.

No Marvel Adventures? Thor and Storm are canonly dating in that one. Or were, at least, I don't know if they still are.

I love Thorm!

Thanks for sharing the adorable fanart. There should be a series just about Thor and Storm going on dates and seeing what kind of amusing things can happen to them. Such as the other Avengers spying on them.

Also, loved the b&w pic of Storm. Who drew it? (i can't read the signature) Storm's features are so unique and diverse. That's why when I was growing up I could relate to her and found her the most beautiful of all comic book heroines. Her look is so original and makes her even more special because she embodies so many kinds of people. A true goddess.

The first or the second? Eitherway the first is Clayton Henry and the second is Arthur Adams(I think...).

Fantastic. What you're basically saying is that she's oh so special and 'diverse' because she doesn't look like someone from Kenya. So you can only be a "True Goddess" by abandoning your country of origin and familial ancestors? Good to know. I'm sure that next time I want to ascend to heaven, Ill stop by at my local plastic surgeon...

There was a while when all of the X-Men were immune to electronic detection. They had decided to stay 'underground' after they were presumed dead. I assume this is shortly after that.

Incidentally, there's a great scene of Colossus fighting one of the Brood in the middle of Dallas (I think) with a TV cameraman filming it. He's calling in the action, but the people in the studio can't see Colossus.

hrmm. Really need to set up an IJ account. heh.

The kiss/lunchbox ones are ridiculously cute. Also, joining the demand for the Mariachi Avengers to appear in Marvel Adventures.

"The briefest of allusions to Storms suspected bisexuality..."

It's certainly more pleasant than allusions to those rumors about Claremont...

I just read his graphic novel "Marda the She-Wolf" -- his fetish trope involving hot warior women being mind controled/raped are in full swing even back then.

Storm: Hell Of Sexy.

Thor + Storm: Double Hell Of Sexy.

The scans from the hospital obviously take place during the period when Storm was de-aged to a child by Nanny and Orphanmaker. The "doesn't show up on electronics" thing may be related to the X-Men "dying" in Dallas and being reborn in Australia, which also made them invisible to electronic devices. (I couldn't make this stuff up if I tried.)

Some nice artwork on these - that lunchbox one is ridiculously adorable. I'm not really someone who 'ships the characters he likes, but I must agree that Thor and Storm would make a great couple - if nothing else, they're a terrific match physically.
That last scan, though - oy. Oy yoy yoy yoy YOY. Callisto has a tentacle-filled hottub? Is there ANY sort of context given for this? Is it a mutant hottub? Does she have some sort of octopoidal creature who lives on the bottom and feeds off of skin cells? What the hell is going on? (Also, does that not, uh, kind of creep out anyone else? I mean, I can understand the naughty feminine possibilities, but personally, if I were in a hottub and a tentacle started curling itself around me, I would scream at the top of my lungs in a most unmanly fashion, leap about five feet in the air, run like mad, and keep running until that hottub was a mile behind me. I mean - ecch. *shivers*)

Those tentacles are Callisto's arms -- when the High Evolutionary triggered the wave of secondary mutations, Callisto's arms turned into writhing masses of tentacles

Oh. Well, that does explain Storm's 'tentacles for arms' comment - I thought she was just being hypothetical. Well, if that's the case, Callisto's being a little bit... GROPEY there, isn't she? I think the issue is more whether or not SHE'S bi, and whether or not Storm and... whpzisface, I forget who the other woman is... are being remarkably tolerant, or are simply frozen in fear that she will suck them down to a watery grave amongst the drowned sailors.

Incidentally, the reason for the medical equipment failure is that all of the X-Men, shortly after the Siege Perilous affair, were rendered magically invisible to electronic equipment. This was never actually reversed so much as they decided to ignore it.
