First Attempt at a Post: X Men Unlimited 12
For some reason, this story wasn't included in the Onslaught complete series, despite being a brilliant story.
See how thing would probably work in reality for Cain Marko.

First attempt at this so please be helpful
O.K. We start with Dr Strange wandering along in his astral plane form (as you do).

Just as Strange notices the symbol, Gomurr, who catches the symbol with his staff, appears. He stands there, grinning, and asks if there is no hello for him, Gomurr the Ancient. After all he did for him, Logan and the kid with the wings; he expected a warmer greeting. Didn’t the Ancient One (no relation) teach Strange any manners?

Dr. Strange apologizes, but didn’t expect to see him. Gomorr replies

Then we get a nice view of Juggernaut's hallucinations within the gem, a vast volcanic landscape that seems to be trying to destroy him (please save all analysis for the comments). Then we get what has to be some of my favourite X Men Panels ever.

Yeah for evil Xavier!
Then Physlocke inaccpictably changes to Storm,

we learn a demon called Sprite is resonsible for Cain's hallucinations, and Gomorr drags Cain off.

Hugs Cain. We then get the retelling of Cain's father's death (Cain was trying to blackmail him over his involvement in Xavier's father's death, he knocked over some chemical and started a fire. Mr Marko senior saved Xavier, but only saved Cain as an after thought, leading to all the brothers problems (or at least adding to them).
it looks for a moment like we might get some real progress with Cain, then Sprite shows up.

Of course Cain ignores Gomorr and goes off with Sprite. Unfortunately she's working for the Cyttorak who tries to kill Cain. Gomorr and another magic practitioner called Tar join forces to give Cain back the power of the Juggernaut (which he has lost since been separated from the ruby), Cain defeats Cyttorak and gets spat out of the ruby.

lj-cut>
And finally just for crack (and these are all from Marvel. I didn't do anything to them except post them...

Including these bits, I counted the issue to be 52 pages, so I'm fairly certain I'm still with in the limit

I'm not exactly a vet, but I'm pretty sure that the pic outside the cut is way too big. Try moving that one in and putting a little thumbnail outside, for people using LJ feed.

Otherwise, I don't think there are any issues.

Isn't there a code for the cut? So you'd move the code for that pic inside, and put a smaller one outside--that you'd just have to make in Paint, just cut out a little bit of one of the pages as a preview. Alternatively, you don't really NEED a pic outside the cut, just text is fine.

Sorry if I'm almost useless, I haven't been active here for very long.

Relax, you're doing slightly better than me (I haven't even uploaded a userpic yet). Hope that's a bit better.

Goddamn ugly art is goddamn ugly. aauuugh. It makes little dips into good, then goes all the way off to eye-burning at random.

Alas. The story is good.

I confess I tend to read the story and only worry about the art work if it doesn't fit the story. As I point out, I can't even draw a straight line with a ruler, so I'm in no place to judge.

The questions and answers section was good crack. Even if Wolverine looks so... horrible in his portrait.

Yeah, what the heck?

I know he's supposed to be hairy and not particularly good-looking (Movie !wolverine excepted) but at what point did he turn into a orcy-looking thing?

After his adamantium got ripped out his healing factor went bezerk and he beacame more feral. And weird looking. But I could never tell if he was supposed to look deformed or if that was just an/several artist thing. For a while I'm not even sure he had a visible nose.

did Wolverine like that fugly in any comic series, or is this a one-time screwed up picture?

When his adamantium got ripped out his healing factor went into overdrive and made him more feral. Which means many artists drew him this deformed for a while. I believe it passed. And then he got adamantium back.

Yeah. The woman at the bottom clearly has purple hair. but in the next panel (see above), she has white hair.

I was actually commenting on the fact that Storm would choose to include a sample of the Legacy Virus in the time capsule mentioned in the last pages, which I find hard to believe/unwise.

But yeah the hair changes between those panels too, so it's clearly two different ppl. Maybe Storm just hung around in the background off-panel and then walked on-panel or something, while Psylocke did the opposite.

Yeah, Storm's idea is horrible! She'd quite possibly wipe out the poor future mutants who opened the capsule and accidentially exposed to themselves to the virus.

"She'd quite possibly wipe out the poor future mutants "

Now now, why just the mutants? Dr Moira McTaggart got the virus, and there has been variations of it that only killed humans. It's like Storm rather morbidly says: "It would serve as a reminder that mutants and humans are similar both in life and in death." Clearly Storm is planning on killing everyone.

Seconded. It had all the cool elements of his old costume, but modernized the whole ensemble nicely. And I loved the idea of the Cloak of Levitation being turned into a coat. It worked for him.

sweet...Gommur. If nothing else, I fucking loved the Crimson Dawn storyline just because of Mad's art. Need to go track down those issues.
