What particularly gets to me is that the stuff by Bronwyn Carlton (who wrote very little other than Catwoman, so it's hard to get a feel for her) was direct justification for the direction taken in Brubaker run (which I didn't like), and really marked the turning point where Selina's stories stopped being about a lovable thief (with some Robin Hood moments and some Lupin III moments). Selina the likable thrillseeking thief became Selina the grim hunted criminal became Selina the billionth grim vigilante of Gotham.
