Holy shit ... this makes perfect sense.

Of COURSE the Orange Lantern Corps would be a ONE-man corps, because he wouldn't want to SHARE it with anyone else.

BRILLIANT. :)

My only regret is that, if we can have Ruffles the Rage-Kitty, then Agent Orange SHOULD have been an anthropomorphic DUCK.

More to the point, a talking duck who speaks in a SCOTTISH accent, and wears SPATS.

COME ON! SCROOGE MCDUCK AS THE ORANGE LANTERN - YOU KNOW YOU WANT TO SEE THIS, BITCHES.

That's what I've been SAYING! Scrooge, Gollum, and the FINDING NEMO seagulls! I need an icon of them all as Orange Lanterns!

(Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

Actually, even better ...

Scrooge as a Green Lantern (yes, he's greedy as hell, but he also has hellacious willpower) versus Flintheart Glomgold as an Orange Lantern.

THEY WOULD TOTALLY BE LIKE HAL AND SINESTRO.

(Although imagining the Finding Nemo seagulls all wielding Orange Power Rings and saying, "MINE! MINE! MINE!" as they fly into battle? Is AWESOME.)

... BRILLIANT, pally!

Throw Plastic Lass in the mix somehow, and it's gold, baby, GOLD!

Wait, would Donald be a Red Lantern then? AUGH, PUTTING TOO MUCH THOUGHT INTO THIS.

(I *KNOW*, RIGHT?!?!)

How could you have forgotten the original greedy little black duck? "I'm rich! I'm wealthy! I'm socially secure!"

I'd almost rather make Daffy a Yellow Lantern, since he's not so much about losing his temper (that's a Donald thing) as he is about just plain freaking the fuck out in general.

Okay! Then how about Chuck Dixon's greedy and petty Daffy is a Red Lantern, while Bob Clampett's hyper and insane Daffy is a Sinestro?

Nah. One character should not occupy two corps, Hal Jordan notwithstanding.

Soooooo you would *not* be in support of my superduperawesome dream convention-going costume design of Harvey Dent as a member of the Red and Green Lantern Corps (the good side was originally gonna be Blue, but a couple people think he's more Green)?

... That actually has possibilities.

And yes, good!Harvey is Mister Justice, which is more Willpower than Hope (although movie!verse Harvey is more Blue than Green).

Okay, geek overload ahead.

The old pre-crazy Harvey would have been green all the way, but then there *is* the argument that it takes an assload of willpower to keep Big Bad Harv at bay. But that's assuming that he *is* keeping Big Bad Harv at bay, and rather isn't trapped in a stalemate deadlock that keeps either one of them from overpowering the other, because they're both equally half of a human being?

And post-crazy, isn't willpower exactly what Harvey lacks, thus relying on the coin? At that point, all he has left to fight the bad side with is hope that he'll get better and triumph, is it not?

More practically speaking, I'd think Blue and Red would be a better color scheme, whereas Green and Red might result in "Christmas Lantern Two-Face"...

I wouldn't even want to try Gollum, but the seagulls actually work pretty well, y'kin bang out a halfway decent 100x100 manip in fifteen minutes or so.

I am now making it my mission to use it in as many comment replies as possible in all my communities, in the vain hope of finding the small handful of nerds out there who will get it and squee over it as much as I am.

Well done.
