Deadpool Week!?!? Deadpool is Forever!
Greetings True Believers! Here's my add-on to Deadpool week. A page from this week's X-Force. A little bitty I found funny. Spoilers and enjoy!

Plus a bonus page from the new Incredible Hercules! What is it with Bullseye and Greek chicks?

Deadpool knows how to deal with zombies!

Bonus!

The art sucked for this issue but the story is still good.

The differences between Marvel mythology and DC mythology always confuse me.

Doesn't Wonder Woman consider herself to be Greek and an Amazon? Or is that false?

An interesting question to be sure. Being a Greek reader I've often wondered if the Themscirans even consider themselves a Greek outgrowth or something. The Greek Gods are of course the source of their creation but not all of them are from Greece presumably, or at least they likely weren't before being ressurected and reborn as Amazons.

I tend to think so but mostly because I'd like more Greek superhero(ines).

Perez recast the Amazons as being completely multi-ethnic, women from all over the world reborn after dying a violent death.

However, since the beings who granted them new forms were the Greek Pantheon, and they have always based their style on Classical Greek themes, I'd say yes, they historically count as being Greek AND Amazon.

However, they would no longer be Greek nationals, as Themiscyria is recognised as a sovereign nation with it's own UN representatives and ambassadors etc. So I'd say it was akin to a Greek inspired colony which achieved independence a long, long time ago.

The art for the second bit isn't bad. The problem is the guy doesn't do action scenes very well. A necessity in the super hero genre. The slice of the arrow makes no sense movement wise. And that last panel? Oy! Where the hell is HawkBull aiming?

The "bullets" line was just so subtly awesome with Wade's mercenary michieviousness and madness. How could one word delivered like that say so much about Deadpool?

Awesome!

It's better than what I was thinking: "Wish granted!" in a fairy godmother voice.

I'm understand the theory of the "TARDIS Ammo Clip" in action movies (Small on the outside, but contains several hundred bullets INside), but that's pretty much taking it to new levels of absurdity, no?

Well, if you're a master of the Gun-Kata like Deadpool you can summon bullets with your Chi of Awesome.

Deadpool is aware of himself as a comic book character, and he frequently wins fights by defying even the comic book superhero laws of "reality."

I'm just waiting for the comic book that will eventually reveal that Deadpool's "secondary mutation" is a low-level subconscious ability to warp reality ever so slightly in his favor, and that it's fueled by sheer spite alone.

The joke here is that I'm completely serious.

Anybody else noticing the pertness of Wade's butt in that last panel?

It's so shiny...
