Star-Crossed

Four scans from Thor #601, and three from Incredible Hercules #128.

This month in Thor, most of the Asgardians are honour-bound morons, and the honour-bound-moron-in-chief, Balder, decides it would be a good idea to move to Latveria.  This causes problems for the somewhat inexplicable romance of Bill, a short-order cook, and Kelda, a sex-bomb Nordic goddess:

Then, at issue's end, with the Asgardians beaming out of Asgard (Loki's magically teleporting them, but it looks like the Enterprise's transporter), suddenly, Bill turns into an all-American badass (cue 80s power-chord anthem):

I'm torn between whether that was awesome or laughably unbelievabe.

Elsewhere, in Herc, our heroes get away in the midst of the fight between Hera and Osborn's forces, but Ares negotiates (!) a truce:

Heh, Argus.

And Herc, rackin' up the product endorsements, I see.

But... alcohol. The cause and solution to all of life's problems. What's wrong with you, man?!

You've seen my posts and you ask me that NOW?? :D

Yeah, I've actually wondered about that off and on. I made a living out of other people drinking after all, so I can't really claim a moral high ground.

Just... never liked the taste, and didn't like the effects I saw it had on people.
