I LOVE the ninjas reaction to the "Bonng!" sound from out of panel as Batman crowns the guy with the frying pan, somewhere Bugs Bunny is nodding in approval.

That said, those shuriken must be being thrown with Kryptonian levels of strength to actually DENT the frying pan on impact.

Wasn't that a joke on Newsradio?

Joe: One Christmas my brother hit me over the head with a frying pan to see if it changed shape the way they do in the cartoons. It doesn’t mean he didn’t love me.

Beth: So, did it change shape?
Joe: The frying pan stayed the same.
Beth: How about your head?
Joe: ...I don't remember.

...Kryptonian Ninjas, now there's a thing I'd possibly be happy having in an Supes-Less Action...

Huh. When did comic-book Batman switch from wearing some kind of fabric to wearing armor, anyway?

I don't recall any mention of armour until Dark Knight Returns mentioned it, so presumably retconned in some time after that and the 1989 Batman movie, so "the early 90's" I think.

I love the excellent use of spiral when he takes off his cape like a matador.

The only time Bruce has ever been any good in the kitchen.

I was about to make a crack about him being good on the kitchen table, and then I remembered that Alfred simply would not stand for such nonsense.

Brilliant scene! Love the art, layout and storytelling through visuals. Plus a few sound effects.

Okay, I'm pretty sure I made the exact same comment when this was posted at the old comm, but here goes:

"Vibrating palm technique"? *snerk*

Also, I enjoy fight scenes in kitchens. I blame Jurassic Park.

I said it last time and I'll say it again:

I really fucking miss Batman. 4 or 5 ninjas and he had to work to win.

They'd have to be Ninja AMAZOS to even slow him down these days.

Those panels of him with the frying pan are epic. Justice is served!

Is "creathro" an in-joke that I don't know about, or just a typo?

Also, there's a vibrating palm technique in D&D, going back to AD&D first edition, at least. I wonder if the author is a geek.

For some reason, this entire sequence reminded me of the finale in Grosse Point Blank.
