DCU Blog has another Red Lantern image
Team Scarlet Centurio... wait, no no .... the Blood Stryke Forc- no no, that's not it.... the Crimson Commando's?

From Red Lantern Corps 101

"Red - the blood of angry men!
Black - the dark of ages past!
Red - a world about to dawn!
Black - the night that ends at last!"

From Les Miserables, "Red and Black"

Eh a bit bit but I think it's been handled pretty good.

While the sector has a bunch of monsters (Red Lanterns) they actually do a nice turn around to the fact the Inversions (which Atrocitus was a member) weren't evil but driven to rage after the Guardians screw ups with the Manhunters led to their sectors almost total annihilation.

I hated that. Moore set up the Empire of Tears as basically sci-fi demons, so scary that the Guardians had to fight them hand to hand. Johns turned them into just another group of aliens with a victimization complex.

I didn't take it that they weren't evil to begin with. The difference in my mind is that Moore wrote them as though they were saying, "Yeah, we're evil, and we got what was coming to us. Mind if I claw your face off?" while with Johns they were still pretty vile to start but think they were unfairly screwed over. /fanwank
