Regardless of what the inspiration for the future-pun-speak is, I find it to be completely dull and uninteresting, to the point that I have to FORCE myself to read the dialogue balloons, or else my eyes just glaze right over them.
So, setting those aside, what's the point of this story? Because otherwise, it's a totally cliche vision of the future, right down to the anarchist punks and the robot-double enforcers of the hero from modern times. It's such a well-worn concept that even Mark Waid, The ANTI-Innovator, wound up using it in Kingdom Come.
If I'm supposed to care just because of some affinity for the Greyshirt character and his world, then I might as well be watching the Family Guy special where they "parodied" Star Wars by simply inserting Family Guy characters into Star Wars roles.
