Entry tags:char: artemis of bana-mighdall, char: black canary/dinah lance, char: wonder woman/diana of themyscira, creator: gail simone, genre: solicitations, publisher: dc comics, title: booster gold, title: green arrow/black canary, title: secret six, title: wonder woman

Can I get a "F#%@ YEAH" ?

A former Wonder Woman is now a slave? That's just the first shock as the Secret Six face a new enemy with a heart of ice and an entire country at his command! All this plus the return of Mockingbird! It's all heading towards a confrontation against one of DC's biggest powerhouses, and the Six don't stand a chance…

Damn, now I'm all curious as to how it'll flow from Secret-Six-in-Gotham to Secret-Six-with-slaves-and-fighting-new-icy-enemy.

"Birds of Paradise" part 1 of 2! After the status-shattering events of WONDER WOMAN #33, the world's most sensational team reunites, as Wonder Woman and Black Canary go undercover among some of the worst villains of the DC universe! It's gonna be a bad day for some bad men when the two toughest women in comics join forces!

WE GET TO SEE DINAH BEING AWESOME CAPS LOCK NEVER GOES OFF NOW OKAY AND NO COMMAS EITHER OKAY?

... oh wait, disregard that.

The rift between Black Canary and Green Arrow widens as Discord and Cupid attack! And joining the creative team is finisher Bill Sienkiewicz (REIGN IN HELL) on the Green Arrow section...with Josef Rubinstein staying on the Black Canary sections of the new GREEN ARROW and BLACK CANARY!

Don't miss the start of the action-packed co-features in this very issue!

Craaaap. But on the other hand, Sienkiewicz!

Written by Keith Giffen; co-feature written by Matthew Sturges; Art by Dan Jurgens and Norm Rapmund; co-feature Art by Mike Norton; Cover by Dan Jurgens and Norm Rapmund

"Day of Death" part 2! Booster Gold travels back in time to prevent the Black Beetle from killing the New Titans, but who will save Booster Gold from the Black Beetle — and what role will Deathstroke play?

And in the all-new Blue Beetle co-feature, Jaime must battle a flying robot army from destroying all of the people in El Paso!

Giffen's taking over Booster Gold? Sounds neat. But we're losing Albuquerque on Blue Beetle T_T.

I agree entirely with you on all points, up until the solicit. Dinah and Diana are not a sensational reunited team of any kind, no... but they do have, theoretically, a really strong friendship.

This friendship is completely an informed one, of course; Perez has Diana say how much she's come to treasure Canary's friendship, Jimenez has Babs pass along a message about "next time" Dinah comes by the island to hang with her and Polly, Winick has Dinah be the one who Diana's doing a favor for by performing the wedding, ...and their total shared panel time comes to approximately zero. But even if we've been told, not shown, we have been told. So, allowing for solicit hype here, what I'm seeing is basically "Dinah and Diana team up like any two good crimefighting buddies who know each other from way back, and given which two they are, they are not to be messed with," which I think is not only entirely fair but also about damn time.
