I don't know about that. I think the interconnectedness of superhero titles gets exaggerated sometimes. Looking at the comics under the DC Universe imprint that came out in March, these are the titles that don't tie into much of anything (that I know of) and are pretty much off doing their own thing:
BATMAN: CACOPHONY #3 (OF 3) BLACK LIGHTNING: YEAR ONE #5 (OF 6) THE MIGHTY #2 SECRET SIX #7 SOLOMON GRUNDY #1 (OF 7) STRANGE ADVENTURES #1 (OF 8) SUPERGIRL: COSMIC ADVENTURES IN THE EIGHTH GRADE #4 TERROR TITANS #6 (OF 6) TRINITY #40 BATMAN CONFIDENTIAL #27 BOOSTER GOLD #18 GREEN ARROW/BLACK CANARY #18 R.E.B.E.L.S. #2 SIMON DARK #18 SUPERMAN/BATMAN #56 TITANS #11 TRINITY #41 BLACK LIGHTNING: YEAR ONE #6 (OF 6) SUPER FRIENDS #13 TINY TITANS #14 TRINITY #42 VIGILANTE #4 BATMAN: GOTHAM AFTER MIDNIGHT #11 (OF 12) BATMAN: THE BRAVE AND THE BOLD #3 JUSTICE LEAGUE OF AMERICA #31 TRINITY #43 THE WAR THAT TIME FORGOT #11 (OF 12) WONDER WOMAN #30
Now, some of these titles I don't keep up with, and some of them I've never even touched, so there might be some small inaccuracies in the list, but my point is it ain't exacly slim pickin's.
