Hero High. Enrolling now!
I'm not sure if its ever been left here before, but I bring to you the earliest hero memory of mine. As a strapping young lad of three, my mom sat me down in front of the television and allowed me to gain a lifelong adoration. Super heroes. And villains.

The Marvels were my first comic loves. I knew Captain Marvel, Freddy Freeman, Mary Marvel, the Sivanas and Black Adam before I knew of Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, etc. I'm hoping it hasn't been posted prior, but even so...please enjoy. Share the childhood and all of that. They're also co-stars with "Hero High". I've included a Marvel video link as well here for fun.

From Wikipedia's entry: Hero High was a cartoon series created by Filmation that aired as part of the Kid Superpower Hour with Shazam! It was about a high school where young superheroes were taught how to use their powers and fight crime. Originally intended to be a new entry in Filmation's long-running line of Archie cartoon series, the 1981 series was altered at the last minute because the company's rights to the "Archie" characters had expired[1]; nevertheless, one can easily tell which was originally the Archie character, the Reggie character, et cetera.

Part One of Hero High:

Part 2: The Heroes and YOU!

Part 3:

The Marvel Family side:

and for legality...The Marvel Family! Who took top billing during the series along with Hero High.

Loving the expression here.

This is my first Scans_daily post, so if there's any fixing that needs done, by all means do so, or mail me for corrections. Thanks again!

Whatever happened to all those other Marvels, anyway? We hear plenty from Captain, Jr, and Mary, but we don't see Uncle Marvel or those other two random guys. What happened?

Well, Uncle Marvel was a scam, but Tall Billy, Fat Billy, and Hill Billy Batsons are all, ah, not 'suitable' for modern comics, I'm guessin.

Transfat Billy would be a modern update.

Gastric Band Billy and Liposuction Billy would also be fun!

Hill Billy works at a tire shop down in Vista, California these days. Its still real to him, dammit.

The Lieutenant Marvels were described as being "overwhelmed" in Crisis #12, implicitly being killed off, only to be retconned to having survived in a letter column of Who's Who ... a few short months before they were retconned out of existence.

This is why there are such things as RGS, fan fiction, Gail Simone, and notepads. We can fix this, we can make it better,

I truly miss the who's who's as well, DC wants my money? Bring THAT back.

Tall, Hill and Fat Billy all made cameos in the Trial of Shazam, where they all lost their powers. Shame, really.

I think I saw Uncle Marvel at Black Adam's wedding.

Uncle Marvel apparently had an adverse reaction to Evil!Mary and her skirt of lust. Unlike me, his heart (or loins) wasn't strong enough to survive.
