A smorgasbord of Superdictionary silliness.
Yeah, have a handful of Superdictionary entries! Always appreciated, I know. I went back through the IJcomm, and I'm pretty sure none of these have been seen on it up to this point, so yes.

PS, not that much time left, but I figured you guys might like to know too. The Superdictionary fic challenge comm over on LJ is having a challenge of sorts resulting in paid journal time for any journaling service, so if anyone wanted to pick up a paid DW now, it might be worth attempting a drabble or something to try for. :) And that's my public service announcement for the day.

I refuse to say I had the exact same thought.

Even though I did.

Oh, and if not for Clark's incredibly awkward pose, and Kara clearly being pasted in from a completely unrelated image, 'deserve' would be...vaguely sexy.

Okay, one at a time....

"The last time Superbaby cried, he swam away in his own tears." Yikes! If anyone has ever been interested in finding out the capacity of Kryptonian tear-ducts, we have an answer. Although it begs the question why Kal doesn't fly over drought-stricken areas and watch a sad movie or something, but anyway.

The Penguin being chased by a giraffe? That giraffe looks really angry. Run Oswald, run!

Why is Hawkgirl catching bees? She only has two hands? Maybe the theme of these clips is Animal Man decides to mess with his team-mates and enemies. That would explain the giraffe.

I would like to know the context of "deserve" 'cause Supergirl looks angry for somebody having an afternoon nap. Maybe she got sick of rescuing Superman for giant evil bubbles of water?

"Why she never sees Superman and Clark Kent together is a mystery to Lois Lane." Why Lois never once in fifty years figured out that Clark and Superman were physically identical (which would require nothing more than two functional eyes and a brain. I mean it's not like she's an investigative journalist, or anything) and had a good reason for never seeing them together is a mystery to the readers.

"Krypto sat on a pie." Aww.

"Six." Hah! Superman, you dick. And he looks so happy about it, too.

"Unusual" -- the sad thing is, that really isn't that unusual for Ollie, is it? Arrow-cave, Arrow-wing, anyone?

One day, I will be a comic writer. And one day after that, I will get a gig writing something for DC. The very first thing I will do is establish that Superdictionary was released in the DC Universe, and that Superman is the only superhero who wasn't embarrassed by it.

Bees can sting Hawkwoman. They inflict a small wound with their stinger. When Hawkwoman is stung by the bee, she becomes annoyed. To Hawkman she will be stingy. She will not want to share her honey.

A few random comments:
Damn, Hawkgirl, you're catching those bees with your HANDS?! Doesn't that HURT?
Krypto seems both embarrassed and vaguely disgusted at sitting in that pie. He's like 'Whoops, sorry! Oh, ewwwww - it's Zerkon jellyfish custard. I HATE that stuff! This is the last time I hang around in the Fortress of Solitude's kitchen!'
I could be wrong, but I think the Atom is punching that giant crab in the BACK, for some reason.
Is it just me, or does that 'have' entry feature original artwork for the Batmobile? I ask because Batman is REALLY clumsily drawn compared to his depictions elsewhere in the Superdictionary.

Is it just me, or do Superman and Supergirl look a little cuddly for cousins? And like hell does Lois not know Superman's true identity. Check out her resigned posture as she watches Clark go from hiding under a desk (???) to superspeeding out the window.

I don't want Superbaby to cry. I don't want him to have tears come from his eyes. The last time Superbaby cried, he swam away in his own tears.

You know, Mrs. Kent, some people don't want their children to cry because they want their children to be happy, but not you. Your only concern is that he'll once again manufacture the means to escape for your abusive clutches!

It is unusual for Green Arrow to wear Batman's suit. It is not a common thing for him to do.

...And that's a good thing, too! It is a faux pas to wear another superhero's costume. It is not done to impersonate another superhero. Black Canary thinks combining the cowl and the beard is a fashion faux pas.
