Harley and Ivy: Roomies!

Context: Following a mass escape from Arkham triggered by a Ra's al Ghul plot (kill of his Rogues Gallery so that Bruce would have enough time to date Talia), the various Bat villains are being sent to a regular prison while Arkham is being repaired.

During the mass escape from Arkham, Ivy was revealled to be a plant-like creature and not technically a human being any more. Harley is upset that Ivy wouldn't share this with her as she was meant to be her best friend, so she leaves her trapped under some rubble as she legs it.

Here is when the two meet again after Harley is recaptured.

That's an... original plan. I don't think I've ever seen that one before, actually.

Bane had a mildly similar plan in KNightfall, though it went the opposite way about it.

He blew a hole in Arkham so that all the inmates would escape and keep Batman occupied, so that after spending days rounding up each member of his rogues galley (including some pumped with venom like the Riddler) Batman would be too exhausted to put up a decent fight when Bane came for him.

What apart from "blowing up Arkham" is similar in that plan? Methinks "Kill of my enemy's rogue's gallery so he can date my daughter" is different from "unleash my enemy's rogue's gallery so that I can beat him up" are miles apart.

Hm, guess so. I was going more from the "releasing inmates from Arkham to manipulate Batman" kinda thing.

Nah, that's par for the course. When a new villain comes to Gotham, they have them blow up Arkham as a hazing!

Ra's did that in regular continuity too, sometime during the eighties or early nineties I think. Though his aim was more to finally settle his accounts with the Detective for good, rather than play matchmaker.
