When Babs met Lois Lane
From Gail's run on BoP comes one of my favorite Lois showings in a non-Superman book.

Context: Babs is in trouble with a government agent she used to know who is seeking to control her. While she's talking to Katarina--the government agent--someone interrupts them. (Note that the first two scans are from BoP 101, whereas the rest are from BoP 102, thus staying within the scan number limits.)

Hi, Gail! (aww, it's the woobie dog again. What's his name?) I'm somewhere on the middle here, and I have to say, I'm not a fan of Fraction's Iron Man, either. Tony's got issues. I've always said he has. I've read... well, pretty much everything sixty-something to 80, then sometime around the Armor wars, then all of the WACO era stuff, then good amount of today's. I've got a good feeling for Tony, I think.

Tony's a relic, now. He's born of the 60s. When technology was proprietary, and things could be _kept secret_. These days, anything you do can be reverse engineered and rebuilt. The very idea of Tony's Armor Wars panics is bizarre and hilarious in a Cold War way. Face it, there's enough of a market for civilian grade armor that it should be out there, in five million varieties. Not cop stuff, even. Prosthetics. Medivac units. Construction. The Grey Armor, ugly and bulky as it is, has a thousand thousand uses. And Tony goes batshit every time someone comes up with a copy, to the point where he put a virus on the internet to destroy every sample of it. (I'm not joking and I don't want to imagine how much damage he did to the medical industry), and to where he blatantly attacked another hero who had an independent invention of armor not unsimilar to his. (Stingray.) His battle cry used to be "Does Kennedy tell Khrushchev?"
(Personally, I always wanted to see the kids from the Teen Brigade build their own set of armor and have one guy fly it at time and have the other, say, three, kibbitz over the radio. They're grown up now, but there's no reason they're not still geeks.) (You know, Captain America invented the social networking site, speaking of which? Back in the 80s. Myspace my buttocks.)

(Post continued in next post.)
