When Babs met Lois Lane
From Gail's run on BoP comes one of my favorite Lois showings in a non-Superman book.

Context: Babs is in trouble with a government agent she used to know who is seeking to control her. While she's talking to Katarina--the government agent--someone interrupts them. (Note that the first two scans are from BoP 101, whereas the rest are from BoP 102, thus staying within the scan number limits.)

she's a repoter. which means she had to get to the truth. Just to satisfy her own curiosity. But rather than have someone else "force feed" it to her, Lois needed to know what side Babs was on, because Lois suspected someone was using her as a weapon to take Oracle.

And Lois had to see what was in Babs' arsenal, to see if both women could trust one another to keep the other's secret.

	Thank you. I think people are forgetting who Lois really IS, if they think her running to Superman for permission to be an investigative reporter makes any sense at all. Lois is a fearsome presence in the DCu and people forget that. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

Lois is someone who is arguably keeping her own light under a bushel for the benefit of others and is taking the opportunity to show off to a member of the cape community that she's not just Superman's wife.

In many ways, she's using a play from the Bat-clan with lots of veiled threats and showing of ominous bulges and demonstrations of the cachet of her own name. I think it would have been more impressive for her to have simply confronted Babs in her own territory without the mind games.

	Babs new Lois is married to Superman. Lois is one of the few non metas to know that Babs is Oracle. (Reply to this) (Parent)
