Well, yeah, obviously-- but it's Krypto the Superdog. It's an inherently silly concept that's being played really strangely seriously-- like, look at how intense Superman is being when he demands the crowd cheer for Krypto. He's not saying, "Guys! Krypto saved us! Yay Krypto!" It's like Comet the Superhorse started, like, trampling someone to death and they showed us that in intense detail, horse nostrils flaring, eyes rolling, blood on the hooves-- I mean, idk about you, but I'd find that really weird. Are horses capable of trampling people to death? Sure, and I'd bet that Superhorses are even more capable of it. But it's a Comet the Superhorse. I mean, I'm not forgetting that dogs are capable of hurting people, and I'm not taking issue with the fact that Krypto is defeating someone-- this could have been a sweet little story, imo, if written differently-- but the way it's portrayed here, with all the blood and Krypto's crazy eyes and the multiple panels of him brutally attacking Atlas followed by Superman demanding the crowd respect Krypto as a hero, is really off to me.
