That always seemed to be wrong to me somehow (PAD's retcon of the Gamma Bomb). Banner/Hulk was born during the Cold War -- though now I suppose he was born during the first Gulf War -- and why would any military in the world want something that destroys assets and leaves behind enemies? Also, wouldn't that mean that Rick Jones was in no real danger when he drove onto the firing range? Sure, his jeep would be toast, but if the radiation couldn't kill him, why did Banner rush out to save him?
