Batgirl 6 solicit

BATGIRL #6
Image Hosted by ImageShack.us
Written by Bryan Q. Miller
Art by Lee Garbett & Trevor Scott
Cover by Phil Noto
In “Core Requirements” part 2, Stephanie Brown finds herself teamed up with Damian Wayne! The new Batgirl and the new Robin must enter an area of Gotham City known to Gothamites as Devil’s Square, but to the residents, it’s called “Thunderdome”! Their mission: to save innocent civilians from being used in a real-life game of life and death!
On sale January 13 • 32 pg, FC, $2.99 US

Devil's Square? Weird, never heard of that part of Gotham before. Is it near the Cauldron or the East End? Or the Fashion District?

And can't we get beyond Thunderdome already? Seems like two thirds of all the Final Crisis tie-ins consisted of superheroes being made to fight each other for someone's amusement. More deathmatch comics rarely interesting comics make, unless they involve Wonder Woman and Black Canary.

Also, boo for Damian giving Steph a blackeye.

Because I don't want to put it on my pull list1 and I forget to look for it by the time I actually get to my LCS2.

---

1. The Batgirl book, for me, is a book that I want to read because the concept and shape is one I know I like (smart hacker teamed with plucky blond) but I know I'll hate in practice and product. Imagine going to the only hamburger joint in town and knowing it's run by practicing cannibals; you know you're not going to like what's in those hamburgers, but seeing it still makes you hungry for hamburgers...maybe even enough to see if they use beef.

2. If I even get to my LCS, often someone will go for me.
