I think you misunderstood me. I don't get the impression that the Amazons don't hunt and fish for their meat. I just said that this scene is a wall-banger (I've already explained why), and as such I don't like it at all.
Also, the "what measure is a non-cute" trope doesn't justify the horrible attitude towards the boar here. First of all, faltering is one thing, acting as if the boar were evil and deserving to die (surely that... brute... was more worthy of killing than that poor gentle deer) and even speaking of its death as if it were poetic justice is another thing entirely. And second, it doesn't suit the characters at all: the Amazons, who are supposed to be "better than us" to begin with, and have had over 3000 years to wisen up; and Diana, who as is the "Avatar of Truth" is supposed to go past appearances more than anybody else (yes, she is young here, but she is already Wonder Woman).
