Seeing Nicolas cage as Angel feels weirdly ironic..(In a completely terrifying way!)In that I remember back in the day thing thinking David Boreanaz might make a half decent big screen Superman. And I don't think I was the only one, as there's an Angel episode (Sanctuary?) where he steps out of the shower mimicing a pose that Faith's just watched an animated Superman do. (And y'know eventually he later on did screen test for it in the lead up to Superman returns..)

But of course what's ironic is that when that notion first occured to me, all the talk back then was of Nicolas Cage having the part. And I was horrified at the prospect, given that he looks NOTHING like the character. To me Boreanaz was much closer to the look. And here of course we have Cage trying to look like Angel which is now bringing back those feelings of WTF! (Shudder!) :)
