When Lois and Clark are written well (which is rare) they are the best married couple in comics. I for one look at these pages and can't imagine going back to the day (which some comic fans want - even Didio originally copped to it) of the CluelessLois/Superman/Clark love triangle. The best Clois stories have being his greatest ally support and secret keeper behind the scenes (like most spouses are to each other). Reminds me of something Greg Rucka (who usually writes a great Lois) said at a con to a fan question about causing troubles in the marriage (with Clark gone from Earth) and Kal-El possibly developing a new Kryptonian love interest during his stay in New Krypton and Rucka said simply: "They're married. This is not Marvel". Which says it all.
2 other points: 1) I really hated the short-haired Lois. So few artists made it look good on her. 2) How ironic with WW#36 just coming out with Tom Tressor out of the WW book and Nemesis/Diana officially over to see him in Trinity hanging out with Lois, Donna, Dick, Alfred and Cassie (and Bruce!) as if he was a permanent part of the Trinity family - even to the extent of knowing everyone's secret ID. And now he's shuttled off to comic limbo again. Predictable but still ironic IMO.
