I'm wondering if the key to enjoying ASBAR is in one's frame of mind. Everyone expects intense dark stories from Frank Miller, but maybe this is his attempt at comedy. Kind of like SNL skits of DC superheroes?
On first read, I can understand why Diana fans would find it offensive, but there are little nuggets I found funny, like her ordering GL to take her coat and him responding with the power ring coathanger :D
Also, no one seems to have mentioned the slight modification to Diana's tiara, namely the extended piece of metal covering the bridge of her nose. I liked it a lot because it reminds me of an ancient Greek helmet.
In any case, some consolation for WW fans: 1) at least she's not a whore 2) it's not in continuity
