I agree. The medium has many, many other creators worthy of spotlighting.
If a creator really wants to make it that onerous for non-industry people to provide them with exposure and discussion space, then perhaps they need to focus on already-existing mechanisms (i.e. marketing) in the comics industry to further their goals in that regard.
In a very basic sense, PAD doesn't need us and we don't need him, so parting ways seems the best option.
