Jack of Fables 38: Baby steps along the glory road
Jack Frost continues his efforts to become a hero.

Unfortunately, finding heroic deeds to undertake is proving rather difficult. He's had to lower his standards somewhat just to find any.









That is the Princess Fen. When the night walkers attacked her father's holdfast, she fled to seek help.





So how's everyone liking Jack Frost so far? Personally, I'm finding him to be a more interesting character than his dad.

I'm a sucker for the "Naive but well meaning guy (or gal) who becomes a hero simply because it's the right thing to do", so this is fun for me.

A snarky mentor/sidekick is great when done well (cf Skeeve and Aahz) so this is even more fun.
