Look - when you think of defining Captain America moments, do you think of him punching someone or saying something inspiring in the face of incredible odds? Me, I think of the latter. If a character can DEFINE a character concept as well as Cap has, then to a large degree that stops becoming a concept and starts being a character trait. Misty Knight, again, is PRIMARILY KNOWN as a martial artist - the fact that she carries a gun is secondary. Whether Psylocke is a martial artist or not is a tricky question - after all, she didn't actually get her skills the normal way; she sort of inherited them after switching bodies with a ninja. She has a ninja assassin's body, complete with skills, but I would still call her primarily a telepath/telekinetic, because those have been her main skills since the beginning. She's a pretty confusing character, really - I like her, but looking up her history is enough to give one a headache. Let's just say she falls into a grey area. Daredevil counts as a martial artist - his primary foes are all martial artists, he was trained by a martial artist, and he uses martial arts himself on a consistent basis. He's a martial artist, all right. How long has he been the head of a group of ninjas, though?
