See, here's where we disagree - yes, Cap can kick ass in combat, but to my mind, that's NOT primarily what he's known for. What he's primarily known for is as a living symbol of the American Dream - it's his inspiring qualities that have made him the legend he is. More prosaically, it's his skills as a tactician and team leader that keep him relevant in the MU - he's stayed the leader of the Avengers this long precisely because he CAN do more than fight. The man has a brain, and a gift for diplomacy, and THAT, more than his fighting skills, is what keeps him a legend. Besides, while Cap certainly has fighting skills aplenty, which, yes include Judo, they seem to me to be primarily grounded in boxing, wrestling, and gymnastics, as opposed to the more Asians styles - and martial arts are primarily and overwhelming defined by popular concensus as fighting styles coming out of Asia. Therefore, Cap is more of a skilled FIGHTER than a skilled martial artist, as I've said all along.
