Okay, your standards are getting increasingly ridiculous and contradictory.
And no, I'm not saying that they never use anything else, just that they predominately use the martial arts. A gun and a cyborg arm are added bonuses - when Misty runs out of bullets, she kicks ass kung-fu style.
Cap kicks ass Judo and boxing style when he doesn't have his shield in hand - including when it's ricocheting about the place. Do a lot of karate classes say "And when you when out of bullets, use you cyborg arm to sock them."
Let us simply say that 'kendo' is listed as a martial art, whereas 'throwing a great big shield so that it bounces off walls' is not.
Making your fist glow pink and thumping people with it isn't exactly a recognized technique. And in the current run of Immortal Iron Fist, plenty of martial artists are using wacky and invented styles. Was Bruce Lee not a martial artists when he designed and used his own style of Jeet Kune Do?
Shuriken, on the other hand, are intended to slice you up into little bitty pieces - when they're used correctly, they are almost ALWAYS lethal.
Citation, please - Wikipedia isn't the greatest resource, but it says they were primarily a tool for distraction, and I can well believe it, as some of the shown shuriken were basically four nails welded together. Seriously, the only way you could kill someone with even the deadlier ones is a direct hit on an artery, the blades are barely an inch long.
If intimidation has nothing to do with it, why did you bring it in? And the Batmobile? A martial artist doesn't forsake all other tools.
