yeah. Bruce Wayne has many out reach programs. Batman maybe all hard nosed, but Bruce Wayne is the one willing to give a person the benefit of the doubt.
One of my favorite batman moments is in an episode of Batman Gotham Nights (the 3rd batman series of the DCAU, the series right before JL came into animation) NIghtwing was telling the story of his falling out with Batman to Tim. And one of the deciding moments was batman terrorizing a man in front of his wife and son.
Dick was HORRIFIED at what Batman had done (I believe a bomb or something was involved and they were basically out of time) he got the job done, but Dick had enough. He left. At the end of the episode you find out that pretty much the day after Bruce Wayne himself offered him a job (jail time might have been involved) and even takes time out of his day to visit him on the job and talk about his family.
i have always loved that episode because it shows the dicotomy of batman, the dark avenger, and the guy who understands that there are reasons people commit crimes and tries to help them however he can
