OK, I don't get the hair bit. How is Norm's hair even more ridiculously traditional than before? I always thought it looked like James Caan's, with a more pronounced widow's peak.
Also, the new looks for classic characters happens about every five to 10 years YMMV. I don't see that that's something to yell about. (While I'm thinking about it, you do realize your typing style does make it harder to read your posts, don't you?)
As one of the traditionalists you're talking about -- I'll skip the irony that you want everything kept as you remember it -- I like May getting married to Jonah's dad, and Jonah becoming mayor and well I despise the Cyber Ock. (Why do writers always feel the need to re-vamp, Doc Ock and Dr. Doom? They always fail and in two years the characters are back to the status quo.)
And I don't think that Quesada and Co. are deluded into thinking that they're changes are permanent. I think that might just be why they did it with magic. You know, they might actually be as intelligent as you and I are and they might actually love these characters as much as you and I. Just sayin' pal. Just sayin'.
