I'm just as concerned with "and it's all going to be Spider-Man's fault!"
Anyone who thinks that Spider-Man should ONLY make mistakes needs to be banned from reading or buying any comic book ever again for the rest of their lives.
Every single thing that Spider-Man has done since the start of "Brand New Day" has been a total failure and made the lives of everyone around him significantly worse.
Which is one of the reasons, besides the whole rape-for-laughs thing, that I utterly despised the Chameleon story arc, because aside from his shocking cruelty to Flash and Mary Jane, the writers went out of their way to show that the Chameleon was a better Peter Parker than the real thing.
That's not funny - that just underscores precisely why I hate the current portrayal of the character, because everyone is writing him as though J. Jonah Jameson was right about him all along.
