She most certainly looked as if she were crazy. Her hair was a mess, her eyes red and battered from crying and the moment she got close to someone, she would pull back. She didn't wish to touch anyone. She didn't want to be near anyone. The building - it was distracting, everything about this place was distracting. It was giving her a headache. There was too much stimulation. No, she no longer heard the voices, but she heard their voices. Of every person she passed. She saw their faces, she felt as though she couldn't breathe with each step she took. This wasn't fair. Why was this happening to her? She had paid for her sin. She had spent two thousand years, an anchor to the Other Side as punishment for falling in love with Silas. No, her punishment didn't stop or hinder her love by any means, but it did torture her. Having to feel each supernatural soul as it passed through her body, ripping, stabbing - feeling everything. Qetsiyah made her pay a hundred fold for her sin and now she just wanted peace. She wanted peace now. She wanted to breathe.
She mistakenly pushed a door open as she leaned against it and she found a set of stairs. Bottom lip trembling, she slowly looked up before following the stairs up until she was at the very top an when she opened that door, she realized she was outside on the roof of the hotel. Breathing in, she smiled, her long dark hair whipping around but she didn't care. She was alone and she wasn't bothered.
The door opened suddenly and Amara whipped around, scared, terrified but it was another of her. Amara, having been the first immortal next to Silas, the universe created doppelgangers to make a balance and she was staring at one of hers now. Amara said nothing, but instead inched toward the edge of the roof. She still wanted this to end. She wanted peace, she wanted the quiet. She didn't know how to live in a world like this, she couldn't adapt like Silas could so easily. It wasn't easy for her.
"Please, do not come closer. I do not want this," she said quickly, holding her hand up to Elena.
No, Amara wouldn't have hurt a fly. She wouldn't want to harm anyone, although Amara wasn't so innocent. She was Qetsiyah's handmaiden and Amara fell in love with Silas, the man Qetsiyah was supposed to marry and spend eternity with. She didn't think it a mistake. She loved Silas with everything inside of her, with all of her being. She just wasn't able to live in a world like this. It was so very different from all she knew and being trapped for two thousand years with supernatural souls having to pass through her body didn't help either.
"I said get back!" She yelled then, her voice raw already as she looked at Elena, watching her as she inched toward her.
