Silas wanted so believe everything Amara was telling him. He wanted nothing more than to start over but Silas' heart was dark. It was black. A piece of coal floating in his immortal body. There were still things that Silas wanted to do. A dish of revenge he wanted to serve Stefan Salvatore. Yes, that would come soon. Silas had seen too much to just let it go.
But for now, for this moment, Silas just wanted to be with Amara. They had been separated for so long. There wasn't a greater want than this - than her. Silas was willing to put aside his indifference for the time being.
"I will never give up on us," Silas said, trying to smile, tears welling up in his eyes that fell. Silas didn't want for his love to end. For their love to be laid to rest. Two thousand years and yet they still somehow found each other again. Silas could only see that as a miracle.
"Come home with me - wherever home is now." Silas said, leaning in to kiss his love, the emotions and want overwhelming. Silas took his time, giving Amara small, gentle kisses and pulled back, her hand taking his, Silas taking Amara back to his apartment.
