Who: Those invited
Where: Lyvus
When: Day 286, around noon (before the ideal world game)
What: Meeting!

[Sometime between late morning and early afternoon, people are coming over to Lyvus. They'll even feed you if you brought something to trade—there's certainly nice tea and lunch set out :) the main area of Lyvus is pretty big, and there is a long table that can easily sit at least 15-20 people, though it may start to get crowded after that, and some of the chairs are makeshift]

[There may also be some Lyvus/Monoceros makeshift scrabble games going on around lunch. This is clearly the most serious kidnapping.]

[OOCly I have no idea who is actually coming to the meeting and/or knows about it, but I think we are able to roll with bbbasically anything! Join #partyatlyvus so we can keep the blah blah in one place, and we can facilitate any necessary behind the scenes business o7]

[listens. . .]

That. . .actually does sound a bit like her. I'm not aware of her asking for anyone's forgiveness, however.

Part of the reason she became our patron was in fact because she desired--she needed--companionship, love, and friendship. Even now, with her plotting to escape, she keeps asking us to come with her.

And when I've talked to her, she says she always feels incomplete. We tried giving her a name, and it didn't work. She tried looking for her eyes, but gave up when she thought she could just accumulate enough power to leave. As for her sadism. . .yeah, she does enjoy it, and we have tried to coax her out of it. I'm not sure why she can't break out of it--I always thought it was just because her dominant side was so much stronger than the other.

Though she always caused damage... she didn't always enjoy it. I agree that it's her dominant side.

She needs things like that, needs love, yet doesn't understand that normally her cruelty would mean she gets none of it. You guys were just crazy enough and had the least experience with her brunt to take her as a patron, when everyone was sore from it. It's clear you love her, even alongside of what she's done. Probably... with her logic... Since she "has" what she wants, there's no need for her to stop otherwise. She knows you won't leave her. And she doesn't need more than you.

I don't mean that in an accusing way. It's because of how she asked me for what she can't get from you. She... asked for my forgiveness, without understanding entirely what it was-- she couldn't have, while also exacting revenge on me. When I tried to explain, she got frustrated, turned it into an edge for me to get out of her revenge and exacted it. Now it's on the table again... she said it's what she needs to convince her other self to go with her.

("Crazy enough. . ." I guess at this point, it's true.)

No, no, I understand what you mean. Ugh, that's probably it. It's like how a parent caters to and loves their child during their temper tantrums. . .they don't learn. Hah.

That's. . .new to me. I remember asking her what she would do with her other side after escaping, and she said something along the lines of "she can come if she wants to." From the sounds of it, she either really wants or needs her to come. . ."She plans, but will not succeed. . ."

[m-mental debate...]

...

It isn't that I wouldn't like to see someone like her saved-- made whole again. But if I have to save a hundred others, or her-- a world, or her-- then I'm going to have to side with the choice that saves the others.

[. . .hand gestures]

And that's what you should do. Of course I'd rather find an option that saved her as well, but not everyone is going to be pleased. We're the minority here, and with good reason. I want you all to succeed. Even if I'm pissed that it means Monoceros will still be treated unfairly after all this, if by some miracle everything works out and we all go home, well, then it's for the best.

I'm not going to support the death of a friend, and my feelings are just as valid as everyone's hatred, but I'm not going to stand in the way of everyone's freedom either.

I know that. I don't think they're not valid. I-- I absolutely understand that.

It's because we've all been afraid of this exact kind of unfairness... well, it's because I've been afraid of this kind of unfairness that I've never gotten you involved with any of this.

But maybe now that it's out in the open, this won't all be worse for you guys. Some things might be better. If we're going with Jace's idea, it should be safe.

Honestly, I don't see how information about getting the many of Monoceros--er, blanks, out of the earth would have jeopardized anything before now, but whatever. Not the place or time.

Mm, we'll see. I just want to go back to our dorms. Ashikawa informed me than an old teammate had returned, and we haven't been able to see her since we've been kept here.

Thanks for at least trying to see it a bit differently though, despite how much she's hurt you.

... I have practice. It's why she picked me, probably, when seeking forgiveness.

(I can't say I envy him. . .)

Mm. Don't feel obligated, though if it's for Red--well. Something will work out. Mirror really does need to be taught a lesson every once and a while, as much as I like her.
