Haa, well, to him the thought process probably doesn't go, "Watanuki's in danger, but those guys are worried about him and have it handled." It's probably more like, "Watanuki's in danger, I have to do something."

Completely a straight line. Add to it that you're probably the first person Watanuki turns to for most things, it's just a thing that selfishly matters when your most important person doesn't see you that way. Though I'll say it's pretty much an emotional thing rather than him using his head.

It's not like I blame him for being upset. I even let him shove his way in. Every reflex and instinct I have says not to let anything shove its way into the dorm...

I've been putting up with it for all those reasons you're listing. So I'm frustrated when he wants to use his Mirror-granted ability to go in and out of Kimihiro's heart and hide something that dangerous from us for the sake of his pride.
