Dawdling never accomplishes anything.

But caution is sometimes wiser.

In any case. I do not remember the specifics.

(Well that certainly sets off some alarms.)

I did say I've been waiting forever to ask this one.

Mm, would you mind disclosing anything you do remember? Anything you're comfortable with, anyway.

[settles on his shoulder, though her fins continue to twitch in an agitated fashion.]

I was created long after the Judges retreated into the earth. After his -- after Father's sister faded. It must have been that way. I never knew her.

Ah, I gathered that much. You don't remember if you had a proper mother or not?

If I did, I have no way of knowing. I no longer remember his original purpose for me, even. Too many cycles.

It's been that long. . .do you even want to remember?

[light shrug]

I wouldn't know. Most like to recall their pasts, as it could provide answers or direction in the future, but that may be something us blanks are just bias towards.

He is dead. Whatever purpose he had for me, I failed to achieve it.

There's no way of knowing you've failed or succeeded, or if he simply wanted a kid. So strange. . .

Ah, but would you like to move on from the subject?

[. . .blinkblink]

But. . .you're Mirror. That's what we've always addressed you as.

--or do you mean, a real name? Like some of the gods in olden times?

Mirror is what I am called. There is a very distinct difference.

Yes, there is.

I don't understand why he wouldn't name his chi--creation. But if he didn't give you one, did you gain one eventually? Or choose for yourself? I guess what I'm trying to ask is, what is your name?

Ah. . .well, why not make something up? You said you're only called Mirror, I can only assume you don't want to be attached to such a title permanently.

It isn't the same. More than a true name, it's a symbol.

That's what I'm saying. If you don't want to be remembered only as "The Mirror", you have to find a real name for yourself. Or. . .hm. Is it possible he may have intended for you to have one? And you just don't remember?

Re: [WAY LATER]

He never gave me one. If he had, I would have a symbol, however distorted.
