Who: Any
Where: At the base of the great mountain
When: King's Year 199, early autumn
What:

[The great mountain is the largest mountain on the content known as the First Land. It is a marker that can be seen over most of the lands of Pyxis and Canis for its inspiring height. The crystal city, in all of its marvels is built into the western side of it, perhaps a fourth of the way up in a valley between it and the nearest mountain.

Its peak is obscured by the clouds, and no traveler or climber ascending to its great top has ever come back alive, leading most to simply accept that it was a dwelling place of the Gods and thus, no place for man or his ilk.

Today, at its base, a priest is pouring over detailed construction plans that seem to shift and expand under their own magic as he pens in the countries and supplies as they come in.

Great flags of black are set in an enormous circle, stretching out of sight in an enormous circle, and far into the lands that are considered Pyxis.

A great deal of shelters are set up, most tent at the moment, within the circle. Food and water getting the first stone structures erected and thus far are without guard.

A young Ophiuchus of Caduceus cut greets you as you approach, and waves you to the table that the hooded, red lined priest sits.]

His excellency has requested you report directly to him. Please hurry and send your representative.

...then you know you're being reckless.

Though, on that subject, I hope the priests have worked out ways to handle...everyone not used to the desert.

I doubt you'll be obliged in that, unfortunately, but between the hunters our lands have brought, we shouldn't lack for food, at least.

*nods*

As for the rest, we've brought what we could -- including some of the liquor you're so fond of.

Ahhh, you're the best, Jace.

We're gonna be stuck here, aside from the work we're gonna need ways to entertain ourselves that don't involve pokin' the other countries, as much fun as that is.

I thought you might.

*laughs a little*

It's probably not the best idea at the moment.

I'll leave that form of entertainment to you. Though I'll mention that we've brought all the scholars and librarians who could make the journey, so there'll be stories in our camps.
