Who: Any
Where: At the base of the great mountain
When: King's Year 199, early autumn
What:

[The great mountain is the largest mountain on the content known as the First Land. It is a marker that can be seen over most of the lands of Pyxis and Canis for its inspiring height. The crystal city, in all of its marvels is built into the western side of it, perhaps a fourth of the way up in a valley between it and the nearest mountain.

Its peak is obscured by the clouds, and no traveler or climber ascending to its great top has ever come back alive, leading most to simply accept that it was a dwelling place of the Gods and thus, no place for man or his ilk.

Today, at its base, a priest is pouring over detailed construction plans that seem to shift and expand under their own magic as he pens in the countries and supplies as they come in.

Great flags of black are set in an enormous circle, stretching out of sight in an enormous circle, and far into the lands that are considered Pyxis.

A great deal of shelters are set up, most tent at the moment, within the circle. Food and water getting the first stone structures erected and thus far are without guard.

A young Ophiuchus of Caduceus cut greets you as you approach, and waves you to the table that the hooded, red lined priest sits.]

His excellency has requested you report directly to him. Please hurry and send your representative.

. . . Because it's always been, huh. Like the Old Woman's warmth has always been a welcome and tolerable thing? Forgive my insolence, but I can't believe that the Gods would put all their hopes on something just because it's "always been" at a time like this.

If Their plan was something to simple as a humble request upon something that has always been, it would have been done last winter.

It is merely what I know of it.

So you really are just a messenger . . .

I do not pretend to be a God myself.

Today and from these days on, I am merely a messenger and a guardian as I may be.

Still, I was hoping to be able to ask questions of someone who knows exactly what's going on. You're as ignorant as all the rest of us.

The problem far outstrips whatever we may do. Would I give you every scrap of information, you could do nothing with it.

If you are done?

. . .

Sounds more like you're done with me. [Because even a Hydra knows better than to try beating up an Ophi for information. T-turning back to his cart 8|]
