Who: Any
Where: At the base of the great mountain
When: King's Year 199, early autumn
What:

[The great mountain is the largest mountain on the content known as the First Land. It is a marker that can be seen over most of the lands of Pyxis and Canis for its inspiring height. The crystal city, in all of its marvels is built into the western side of it, perhaps a fourth of the way up in a valley between it and the nearest mountain.

Its peak is obscured by the clouds, and no traveler or climber ascending to its great top has ever come back alive, leading most to simply accept that it was a dwelling place of the Gods and thus, no place for man or his ilk.

Today, at its base, a priest is pouring over detailed construction plans that seem to shift and expand under their own magic as he pens in the countries and supplies as they come in.

Great flags of black are set in an enormous circle, stretching out of sight in an enormous circle, and far into the lands that are considered Pyxis.

A great deal of shelters are set up, most tent at the moment, within the circle. Food and water getting the first stone structures erected and thus far are without guard.

A young Ophiuchus of Caduceus cut greets you as you approach, and waves you to the table that the hooded, red lined priest sits.]

His excellency has requested you report directly to him. Please hurry and send your representative.

[ ...there's going to be a lot of people here... Volatile vulpeculas and hydras and lepus, oh my. maybe we'll get lucky and they won't want to bother us too much. ]

[If they do, we'll just have to shank them a little. :|a]

He wants the wounded.

[And, turning to go and collect the ones who can't walk. :|b]

[nods] I'll help.

[and going to help her move people, being very careful not to jostle anyone more than necessary]

[Getting them all set out before him.]

Let's see what he can do.

[watches, and like Alfaet's slight reaction to the mention of he of the body, Nebula smiles through it, but his fists twitch and clench tight for just a moment. ]

Wow, that really worked well.

Who would have guessed? He's good for something.

[Who "he" is remains debatable.]

I guess we just don't get much of his favor in Orion.

[well, Nebula's probably not talking about the priest, though we don't really get Ophi over there, either]

He can keep his favor, for all I care- as long as he learns where he isn't wanted.

Well, at least we won't have to worry too much about it, here.

With any luck, the Old Woman will bake them all to a crisp while we have shelter.

That'd be nice, if we could come back after this and find Verde Striga empty again.

I hope the bodies are left. I wouldn't mind clearing those out.

If you say so. I guess morbid would be wanting a trophy, or something.

You're saying that after all this time fighting, you don't even want to see proof that they're dead?

[you know him well enough to know that the answer is yes, that he'd like to tear them apart himself, in vengeance for what was done to his parents, for making him lose what mattered to him most, and though she doesn't know it and because he's never told her what was done to him, he blames them for what's wrong, because if there were no beastmen, there'd be no other part of himself that enjoys bloodshed. but yeah, that's not the sort of thing Nebula would admit to, so he shakes his head]

I think it'd be good enough just to not have to worry about them anymore.
