[any Lyvus that are available are gathering into Lynx's common room. there's herbal tea and a tray of tarts, with a little bit of chocolate in them, even! but the atmosphere is still a little tense as they wait for everyone to settle in]

Royal, you gotta take baby steps with these guys. Trust me. I've known Dagger since the start. They're... not--they need the nudge. Just at first. I mean, I said he should eat, I didn't say anything about liking it. That's his own opinion, something he decided on his own.

Small steps. If you just give them two options and tell them to pick without warning, they're gonna stare at you like you're insane. ... experience talking there.
