I've remembered a little of my life before I came here. It was a little turbulent at times, but ... I had it really good. A lot of people here, I've realised, come from really desperate or dangerous situations. The sort of thing where, you could understand easily and perfectly why they'd come here. But my life ... doesn't seem to be anything like that. It's peaceful, and privileged, and normal.

I guess-- I'm afraid of finding out ... what terrible thing changed that. It must have been terrible, or I wouldn't be here, right?

It could be... or somebody else's could be, and you're doing it for them.

It's... more than anything... it's about the willingness to go through this place for a wish. Everything it makes you do, all the choices it forces on you... the willingness to do that for one completely impossible wish.

But I understand what you mean. Thinking these memories will come and you'll see more of it. I've remembered enough to know I've got some bad ones coming. I haven't had them yet, but I know they will come.
