[ Next! If you're watching, or listening carefully, you can see/hear the pattern of the pendulum swords' swinging. The first one leads, followed shortly by the second, and then the third. They overlap a little, but if you time it just right you should be able to run through all three at the same time.

If not, there's a little bit of rest after the first, and you'll find yourself between two swinging swords. Suck in your gut, dear, you wouldn't want to get a close shave. ]

[Sight isn't that great, but an A-Tard has to have SOME sense of this... there's a pause, feeling it out for a moment.

And then dashes forward again, keeping low as he runs to give himself the most clearance possible. Has to twist just a little at the last blade to keep it from slicing his uniform, but clears them in good time, even if not with quite perfect timing.]

[ Two more hurdles! They look like you could make them in a long jump, but spoilers: You can't. What do you choose to do? ]

[FFFFFFF I hate hurdles on flat feet.

No, I wouldn't even TRY it as a long jump, we're doing this the same was I cleared the last set if possible.]

[ Now there's just a stretch of running, which some clumsier less gifted participants could use to catch up in speed. ]

[ And now the X of swords. It would be fastest to take a diving roll under one of the arms, or a tucked somersault under the legs. Slowest to carefully crawl under and most dangerous to . . . uh, run into. What do you do? ]

[FINALLY AN OBSTACLE WHERE BEING A TINY THING IS AN ADVANTAGE, picks up speed near the very last second and then drops sliding under the X.]

[ And now! The last set of pendulums.

The first sword is swinging very fast back and forth. The second is much slower and every two or three passes it lines up with the first sword. The third sword is moving very quickly, much like the first sword -- but in an opposite direction. Every four passes it lines up with the second sword and every six passes it lines up with the first sword.

You could wait and clear all three at once, or clear them one at a time. What do you do? ]

[... Stops short to gauge the momentum and patterns of the swords...

... And decides one at a time is way too dangerous to not have the momentum for that last sword's path.

Backs up, crouches and just as the first sword is at the lowest point of it's arc, before the favorable break in pattern, makes a dash for it, ready to dive if something goes wrong.]

[ Watch the backswing of the second sword, it comes up surprisingly fast for being the slowest sword of the three. ]

[Yeah that's a thing isn't it? Pivots on the ball of the forward foot, shoulder twisting out of the way a hairbreadth away from losing some skin. As it is, there's now a patch of uniform from his upper arm fluttering to the ground between the blades.

And puts everything into the momentum to spring through the last blade while it's on that fractional pause at the peak of it's arc.]
