*highly unlikely. :/ knocks it over and trips, but rolls with the impact, coming up in a jog for the swords*

[ Well, the roll did save you some time. And now! If you're watching, or listening carefully, you can see/hear the pattern of the pendulum swords' swinging. The first one leads, followed shortly by the second, and then the third. They overlap a little, but if you time it just right you should be able to run through all three at the same time.

If not, there's a little bit of rest after the first, and you'll find yourself between two swinging swords. Suck in your gut, dear, you wouldn't want to get a close shave. ]

*slows a bit, watching the pattern go through a full rotation, then decides to play it conservatively.*

[ slow and steady saves you from being chopped in half!

Cleared! Next!

Two more hurdles! They look like you could make them in a long jump, but spoilers: You can't. What do you choose to do? ]

[ Now there's just a stretch of running, which some clumsier less gifted participants could use to catch up in speed. ]

*well, running is one thing he's gotten good at. keeping an eye out for obstacles, though; wouldn't do to trip or anything.*

[ And now the X of swords. It would be fastest to take a diving roll under one of the arms, or a tucked somersault under the legs. Slowest to carefully crawl under and most dangerous to . . . uh, run into. What do you do? ]

[ And now! The last set of pendulums.

The first sword is swinging very fast back and forth. The second is much slower and every two or three passes it lines up with the first sword. The third sword is moving very quickly, much like the first sword -- but in an opposite direction. Every four passes it lines up with the second sword and every six passes it lines up with the first sword.

You could wait and clear all three at once, or clear them one at a time. What do you do? ]

...for an instant, seriously considers just going around, but decides to be a good sport instead.

let's take these things one at a time.*
