[Scattered around the roof of Hydra are several crude tools made of bone, leather and stone and a few papers with rather technical designs on it. Claude's handiwork, for any staring at them, might be recognizable and lays largely untouched, however, in the margins, on the back, on several adjoining sheets are designs on implementing THOSE plans. Equations, materials, notes on experiments and results... all scattered throughout the pages in several handwritings and more than one language.

This obviously hasn't been an overnight project, nor anywhere near completed either...

However, what may have grabbed your attention is the groan of wood as they crank back the catapult for another test.]

... That might be the limit.. adjust the tension or just wait until we can really mess with the angle?

Faster is more dangerous than I wanted to try the first time... But with the lake...

[Pulling out a bone knife, and quickly unscrews a part near the base, tinkers with it, and then back together... with more room this time.]

They work by redirecting force... if you stomp on them, they'll send you up, if you lean forward, you'll move forward. Ah... you'll be able to feel it.

[Holds them out.]

Even with that, it will probably be a right fit, but...

	[Watches... and smiles.] You might be a natural at it.. Both wheels react to pressure. The front wheels convert energy into forward motion, the back into upwards, otherwise navigation is done by foot position and body weight. Mmm. I think I know exactly... It feels more natural than walking. Or freeing... or something that simply makes the world work the way it should... Or something is simply completed...

Not everyone feels it... Back home most Storm Riders feel something like that the first time.

Mm… dunno how to describe this, not exactly, but even without these things—[please hold while I twiiiiiiiiiiirl]—it’s like. I look around Sabra, and it’s all angles and pathways. I can do it with the shuriken, too; not just myself. And both at once. And… with these A-T, it’s like I could kick it up another notch. Be faster and higher and stronger and trickier.
