Who: Anyone
Where: Outside of the angerdome
When: Day 148, noon
What:

[Scattered around the roof of Hydra are several crude tools made of bone, leather and stone and a few papers with rather technical designs on it. Claude's handiwork, for any staring at them, might be recognizable and lays largely untouched, however, in the margins, on the back, on several adjoining sheets are designs on implementing THOSE plans. Equations, materials, notes on experiments and results... all scattered throughout the pages in several handwritings and more than one language.

This obviously hasn't been an overnight project, nor anywhere near completed either...

However, what may have grabbed your attention is the groan of wood as they crank back the catapult for another test.]

... That might be the limit.. adjust the tension or just wait until we can really mess with the angle?

Ah! Races, flat land, up walls, distance, speed. There's a LOT of different ways.

[Stops and considers...]

A lot of our teams seem like they'd really be good, don't they?

Up walls! How 'bout along them? Across them?

[Also considers]

Jinx has the co-ordination, Lucky has... well, uh, she's Lucky. Chika'd probs be good. Rex n' Zel, too. Dunno 'bout Black.

Along them, across them, ceilings too for some distance.

Hmm... I've never seen Black enough to really tell.

You're gonna have to pry these things off me if you want 'em back.

How 'bout your team? Simba'd be hilarious, but exactly, uh, effective.

[He laughs again.] Just a couple of days, and then you can borrow them again when you like. They're designed and furthered tuned to me and Sparta... they'll start hurting you... so your own pair IS better.

Heh.. Simba's already declined... Scowl's actually going to be really good like you are. Pyre may be really good too... I don't know about Molotov, but it would be interesting to see what he does. ... Ahahah.. I'm not sure about Rain.

[griiiiiiiiiin. It is ever so slightly sharkish.

Grabs her shuriken from where she'd left it leaning against a rock, too. It works most effectively with momentum, so it + A-T = ?!]

It'd blow our current level of badassery straight out of the water~.

[?!= (Advent Children + Crazy Shounen Power Levels)* Physics out of the office for the month.

Proof: This is gonna be off the handle.]

Hahaha! Without a doubt.

[It's gonna take a while to work out how to do this effectively. :|a The weight of the shuriken makes it so much easier to spin out of control, and there are openings everywhere. Still, gotta start somewhere, right?]

Are these things common back where you're from, then? You mentioned something about storm riders?

Sort of. They were getting a lot of everyday use latel... ah, before I left.

There's a whole culture around them though. Storm Riders are those who use them as a part of their life, no matter what the laws dictate about them. Some just to fly, others as less legal means, but there's a rather large ... well society around them.

I used to be. Sparta is now, someone of such skill he's called a King of his style.

[A pause for a bit of inward conversation]

We don't mind at all. Sparta's a tough teacher though, but good.

Tough's fine. Tough's good! [does a couple of dance steps, but it's clear that the sentiment is a serious one.] Best way to learn, I think.
