... Right. [Sigh.]

They're really not as bad as you think, you know.

I never said they were a bad team. I'm just used to most of them throwing around a glare or two.

I guess...

... But they're actually really nice, once you get to know them. So you can understand why I get frustrated.

Oh, I'm sure. (You just have to get through that tough, thorny, possibly booby trapped exterior.)

At the very least I know Hydra and Vulpecula are competent, close knit teams, so I'm not making any other judgment calls. I do get the frustration, though. It's kind of like how some people assume every Monoceros is cursed.

Cursed?

Mm, for a while Monoceros went through members. . .alarmingly fast to put it lightly. We also tend to have bad luck when it comes to the darker games. And it seemed like other teams forgot we existed.

What?! That's terrible!

Seemed! Past tense! We're doing a lot better now, and no one's gone missing recently. (Aside from Jimmy. And I don't have to count myself since I came back!)

We've had our ups and downs, but so has every other team, so calling us cursed doesn't make much sense now.

Oh... well. That's good.

. . .(There's a face of belief.)

Yeah. Ah, by chance you meet a demon in white, don't mention anything about the disappearing members, please. Almaz has been here the longest of us, s-so he remembers most of them.

[Blinks] I wouldn't do that anyway. Isn't that just kind of rude?

[shrugs]

Just in case. I wouldn't expect anyone to waltz up to the dorms and go "Hi! So I hear you're horribly cursed!" but you never know.

. . . If someone ever does that, I think it's probably totally justified to deck them.

Heh. In truth, if anyone was tactless enough to try that, Van would probably scare them away before they got the words out.

Van?

From Lepus, our partner team. He's a good friend and really protective. He's usually sitting on the roof, keeping watch, and not wearing a shirt despite our best efforts.

(M-mustn't be a hypocrite and question if he's seriously Hydra yet again.)

Aaah, most are, yeah. There might be a few bad eggs, but it's not like the real world is only made up of the good either.

[Slumps] ... Kind of makes you wonder what we're really all doing here, doesn't it?

All the time.

I know some people have some pretty high stakes at home. . .so whatever they're put through here is worth it to them. But for others, I'm not really sure. I still want to believe most of us aren't so easily duped.

High enough to risk your life and others for it.

Between that, being easily duped, or neither and coming here anyway... I'm not sure which option is the least appealing of the three.
